Background

Established in 2005, AIR Relief is a leading humanitarian organization dedicated to providing emergency relief and long-term support to communities affected by disasters and crises around the world. With a commitment to professionalism, transparency, and compassion, AIR Relief has been a beacon of hope for millions, embodying the spirit of solidarity and resilience.

Al Ihsan (AIR) Relief, A South African based NGO, was established to provide basic aid and assistance to disadvantaged communities experiencing poverty, unemployment, lack of amenities and basic services. AIR Relief has taken a mandate to respond to emergency relief in disaster areas both locally and globally.

The organisation provides a variety of services, such as education, relief, humanitarian, welfare and empowerment initiatives. Among the key objectives of the organisation is to serve those who are most vulnerable and needy, such as the disabled, displaced, aged, orphans, widows and others.

AIR Relief comprises of a dedicated group of members and volunteers who respond swiftly to crises whenever and wherever they occur. Relief operations are conducted by providing medication, clothing, blankets, food parcels, female and baby items, tents, wheel chairs etc. to the victims. In some instances, rebuilding of infrastructure such as clinics, hospitals, homes, businesses, shelters, etc. is also undertaken. AlR Relief aspires to co-operate and network with other organisations for the common good and benefit of humanity. Working closely and in partnership with local agencies, AlR Relief has been able to reach people promptly and effectively in their hour of need.
The organisation also encourages people to empower themselves and become self-sufficient, whenever possible. Through its empowerment initiatives individuals are empowered with skills, aids and finances to enable them to become independent.

The current programs/services are

Program 1
Provision of tools, machinery and other forms of agricultural requirements to indigenous communities. Food parcels and provision of water tanks and other amenities that are requires in rural areas

Program 2
Digging of Boreholes in areas where there is water shortages

Program 3
Response to disasters and relief requests from impoverished communities. Support to schools, clinics and frail through feeding, literature and basic needs
